Meet Dr. Damion Gilday
Dr. Damion Gilday grew up in North Bend and is proud to call Oregon home. He attended the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. Dr. Gilday then went on to earn his DMD degree from the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry, graduating with honors in 1996.
After 9-11, Dr. Gilday joined the U.S. Army Reserves and was deployed to Iraq in 2003. A few years later, he was offered the position as the 1st Special Forces Group dentist, so he left his private dental practice to pursue this unique opportunity to serve his country.
Dr. Gilday is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as well as several other professional organizations. He has taken extensive continuing education courses throughout his career, and the pursuit of excellence is the driving motivation for Dr. Gilday. The SmileEssence team is well trained on the latest dental technologies to provide painless, healthy, and beautiful smiles to all of our patients.
Dr. Gilday's four wonderful children are the true center of his life, and his favorite activity is spending time with them. His other interests include golf, trail running, reading dental journals, and seeing the world through volunteer dental missions.
Dr. Gilday is excited to settle down permanently in Eugene, and he looks forward to getting to know you and your family, too!

Before your visit, we disinfect and wrap all of our equipment in a designated area with state-of-the-art sterilization dental technology. Additionally, we sanitize each room between patients—all because your confidence in the safety and comfort of our practice is very important. We worry about the cleanliness of our office so you’ll never have to!

Our entire team fulfills their responsibility to continuing education, attending dental conventions, seminars, and lectures. We want to keep informed about new products and equipment, stay on top of advancements in treatment procedures and techniques, and continually learn how we can better serve you and your family as patients.
